Beef Ribs - Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1.2kg beef short ribs
- 1-2 cups of stock / body glue
- 1 cup of red wine / 2 cups of passata
- 2 tbsp bbq sauce / 2 tbsp tomato sauce & 1 tbsp worstershire
- 1 large onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 4 medium carrots
- 1 tbsp herbs
Preparation
- Cover in seasoning overnight
Cooking
- Get sauce pan hot and sear each side
- Brown onions
- Add all ingredients to slow cooker
- 6 hours @ hot / 8 hours @ low
- 1 hour rest
Left Overs
- Cool in fridge
- Skim fat for Gravy instructions
- Simmer down sauce and use on quinoa, rice, etc. with vegetables
- Shred meat for sandwiches, pies, pasta, etc.
Notes
- Might need to turn off early to prevent from drying out
- Rotate ribs halfway if they're not completely covered
- Careful of FODMAP with onion, garlic and seasoning
